With the revival of the teen duo "Beavis & Butt-head", one of MTV's hit gem shows of the 90's there has been word that another popular MTV show from the 90's might get the same treatment. The High School based, monotone, dry humored Daria.

I got into Daria about a year ago, I found a website where all the episode were available and I was at a steady course of at least one episode a day.  I love Daria, this is a gem of a show, the characters seem real and so do the situations and while other shows wanted to make High School funny, Daria made it human, but also funny.

In the last few years Futurama and Beavis & Butt-head have come back to life so this does seem like the time for revivals of great shows so Daria is more deserving of one.

If Daria does get revived I merely have a few simple requests. One is that you get the original voice cast back, the cast made the show, they all sounded great and were funny and have great chemistry together (even though I believe that they never actually recorded together). Special credit to Wendy Hoopes who voices Quinn and Helen Morgendorffer and Jane Lane (I think my favorite character) so she has to be in the revival. Naturally I also want the same writers, one of the reasons the show was great is that over the course of the series is that things changed, now its been a few years, the writers have changed and they can bring that into Daria.

If the show does get revived I  have to wonder about the situation, obviously it will center around Daria but at the end of the show, she and Jane went off the College so what does that mean? Will the new show center around Daria being in College, or maybe after she's completed College and she's moved back to Lawndale, or to a city.  This is also the persoalan with the revival of the show. Daria was a show about High  School and now she's not in High School so the whole point and dynamic of the show is gone. Or maybe this is a good thing after all maybe the show could now be about the working environment, maybe something like High Fidelity.

Daria was great in its time and still stands tall now, it has five seasons and two direct to television movies under its belt if it was to come back I would be one of the last in its way and one of the first to tune into it again.
